Road & Track Magazine Road Test

In April, 1959, Road & Track magazine published a two-page road test titled "Porsche D". Described as "A desirable car made more desirable, and more expensive", the piece was a generally favorable review of the Convertible D, explained how it differed from the Speedster model it had replaced, and stated it was "luxuriously appointed as befits a car costing almost $4000."

The review summed things up by stating the car is "the best buy in a highly desirable line and will probably give more driving pleasure per dollar than almost any car you can buy."
